Employer description

Hadrian - Manufacturing the FutureHadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America. By combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost.

Following our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.

Backed by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing—and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.

If you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.

 The Role

Hadrian is looking for a Tech Lead of Operational Technology to own and build the security program protecting our autonomous factories and manufacturing ecosystem.

This role sits at the intersection of OT/ICS security, embedded systems, physical security, and supply chain assurance. You’ll be the senior technical authority responsible for protecting Hadrian’s production environments from cyber-physical attacks, insider threats, IP theft, and supply chain compromise.

What You’ll Do

Build and own Hadrian’s end-to-end manufacturing security strategy and architecture.

Secure OT/ICS environments across factories, including network segmentation, industrial monitoring, identity/access, and asset security.

Establish security requirements across embedded systems and hardware, including secure boot, firmware signing, hardware roots of trust, and JTAG/UART lockdown.

Assess and test factory environments across OT networks, firmware, hardware, and third-party manufacturing partners.

Protect against supply chain compromise, tampering, IP theft, insider threats, and cyber-physical attacks.

Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Security, and external government/defense stakeholders.

 What We’re Looking For

10+ years across OT/ICS, embedded/product security, manufacturing, or supply chain security, including meaningful hands-on ownership.

Deep knowledge of industrial environments including PLCs, SCADA/DCS, HMIs, RTUs, and industrial protocols.

Experience with standards such as IEC 62443 and NIST SP 800-82.

Strong understanding of embedded/firmware security and hardware security.

Ability to build a security program from the ground up and operate effectively across both technical and executive teams.

Defense, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, robotics, or critical infrastructure experience is highly preferred.
