Stateside Spec Engineering jobs in the United States

Terms of use

Effective September 11, 2026. These terms govern statesidespec.com, The Spec email, and paid listings and article subscriptions.

The service

Stateside Spec is a listing and newsletter service. We publish engineering jobs sited in the United States and a weekly brief, The Spec. We are not the employer, not a recruiter, and not a placement agency. We do not introduce candidates, take placement fees, or host applications. Apply on the employer’s site.

Operator: Stateside Spec, 1111B S Governors Ave STE 4751, Dover, DE 19904, US. Contact or email [email protected].

The board

Listings are free to browse. We file roles by discipline, industry, location, and — when the employer or posting states them — work authorization, clearance, and PE. We do not offer a “citizens only” filter. Chips such as “does not sponsor” or “U.S. person required” are copied from the employer or the posting, not invented by us.

We do not guarantee that a role is still open, that pay or location is current, or that work-authorization notes match the employer’s policy on the day you apply. Confirm everything with the employer before you spend time on an application.

The Spec

The Spec is a free weekly email of U.S.-sited engineering roles. Submitting an address sends a confirmation link. We do not add you to the send list until you confirm. Signing in to an account does not subscribe you. Every Spec includes our postal address and an unsubscribe link we honor immediately. You can unsubscribe on this page without signing in.

Articles

Articles are paid essays, separate from The Spec: $10 per month or $100 per year, plus any trial we advertise at checkout. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in Stripe or through your account. Canceling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period unless Stripe or the law requires it.

Paid listings

Employers email a role. If it fits the board, we send a $250 payment link. Payment is for review and, if we publish, thirty days on the board and a slot in the next Spec we send. Apply stays on your site. We may decline a listing that does not fit (including PERM checkbox ads and roles that are not U.S.-sited engineering work). If we decline after you have paid, we refund the $250. If we publish, the thirty-day run is the product; we may take a listing down early if it is inaccurate, misleading, or no longer open, without a further refund.

Accounts

Sign-in is a magic link to your email. You are responsible for that inbox. Do not share links or codes. We may close an account that abuses the service (fake listings, scraping that degrades the site, or harassment).

Your content

Job descriptions and other listing text remain the employer’s. By sending a listing you grant us a license to file, display, and email it for the board and The Spec. Do not send us confidential candidate data. The public board may include employer-provided text and logos.

Acceptable use

Use the site to browse and apply off-site, to subscribe to The Spec, and to submit a listing. Do not scrape in a way that harms the service, post misleading roles, or use the board to advertise immigration sponsorship as the product.

Disclaimer and liability

The site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for hiring decisions, failed applications, or reliance on a listing’s chips, pay, or status. We are not your employer and not the hiring employer. Our liability for a paid listing or subscription is limited to the amount you paid us for that item in the prior twelve months.

Privacy

How we handle email addresses, sessions, and Stripe IDs is on the privacy page. We do not sell the subscriber list.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds a section unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above will change. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the new terms. Material changes to a paid subscription will be emailed to the account address when we can.
