We collect email addresses for sign-in and The Spec, and Stripe IDs if you pay for a listing or an article subscription. The Spec is a separate email list: we send a confirmation link and do not mail the brief until you click it. Every Spec email includes our postal address and an unsubscribe link we honor immediately. Signing in does not put you on The Spec. We do not sell the subscriber list. Magic-link sign-in stores a session cookie. Job listings may include employer-provided text. Contact us with requests.
