About the Role

We are seeking a Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Chassis Systems to drive best-in-class product quality throughout the industrialization and supplier development process. This highly visible role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

As a key member of the Supplier Industrialization team, you will partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and supplier partners to ensure innovative chassis designs can be successfully launched into production while meeting Lucid's quality, reliability, and scalability standards.

The ideal candidate combines strong supplier quality and manufacturing expertise with a proven track record of APQP execution, supplier development, and automotive product launches.

 

What You'll Own

Supplier Industrialization & Launch Readiness

  • Lead APQP activities with suppliers from initial design release through PPAP approval and start of production.
  • Drive supplier readiness activities to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality, timing, and launch objectives.
  • Oversee supplier industrialization plans and ensure successful execution throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support production ramp activities and supplier capacity readiness initiatives.

Design for Manufacturing & Quality Integration

  • Lead Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/A) reviews for chassis system components.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure manufacturing requirements and quality expectations are incorporated early in the product development process.
  • Ensure robust quality planning activities and quality gate execution throughout development and launch phases.
  • Drive implementation of quality and reliability best practices across supplier manufacturing processes.

Supplier Performance & Development

  • Perform supplier assessments, manufacturing audits, and onsite process evaluations.
  • Develop supplier improvement plans and drive implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluate manufacturing capability and readiness through supplier process reviews and industrialization assessments.

Engineering Change Management

  • Lead supplier execution of engineering design changes and ensure timely implementation.
  • Track supplier deliverables associated with design modifications and manufacturing changes.
  • Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to minimize launch and production risks resulting from product changes.

Production Support & Quality Resolution

  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Incoming Quality, Planning, Plant SQEs, and supplier partners to contain and resolve supplier quality issues.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Establish lessons learned and read-across improvements across product lines and supplier networks.
  • Ensure production operations remain protected from supplier-related quality risks.

Compliance & Data Analysis

  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, AIAG Core Tools, and IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Analyze supplier and assembly plant data to evaluate manufacturing performance and process capability.
  • Develop recommendations based on data analysis to improve quality, reliability, and operational performance.
  • Support validation, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven methodologies.

 

What You'll Bring

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • At least 6 years of hands-on APQP and PPAP project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Working knowledge of quality methodologies and tools including:
    • APQP
    • PPAP
    • SPC
    • MSA
    • FMEA
    • DOE
    • GD&T
    • DFM/A
    • IATF 16949
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 25-75% as business needs require.

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Automotive industry experience supporting chassis systems and components.
  • Professional certifications such as ASQ, Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent.

Work Requirement

This position requires close collaboration with suppliers and Lucid facilities globally. Candidates should be comfortable working across diverse cultures, manufacturing environments, and time zones.

Travel requirements range from approximately 25% to 75% and may include both planned and short-notice domestic and international travel to supplier and Lucid locations.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.  Base Pay Range (Annual)$118,900—$174,350 USD

Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off.  Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
