Job Summary: The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex systems at every stage of their lifecycle. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation with an eye toward accessibility, optimization, and security, within the infrastructure. To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, results-driven individual who thrives in a cross-team collaborative environment.

This position’s internal job is Sys Design & Integ Spec. Our team is currently hiring for levels 4 or 5.

 

Position Responsibilities:

Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staffUse expert-level configuration, administration and optimization of hosts and servers to ensure high availability of infrastructure and systemsParticipate in the design of information and operational support systemsResearch and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system engineering tasksWork with EGSE REAs and CAMs to develop schedules, labor profiles, and costing informationLead the transition to a more DevSecOps approach to deploying and maintaining software, VMs, libraries, configuration, and administration of our ground support equipment computing infrastructureWork with the EGSE and SW engineers to capture computing requirements, generate deployment schedules, etc.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 4 years of IT system engineering experienceCurrent CompTia Security+ CertificationThis position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. clearance Post Start is required

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: 

Level 4: $146,200 - $215,000Level 5: $176,800 - $260,000 

Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. Additionally, applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
