As an intern on the Digital Technology Product Design team, you will be an active contributor to the team’s success by supporting the design and development of user experiences across complex enterprise products. You will gain hands-on experience in Product design, AI-enabled design workflows, and collaborative product development while working with cross-functional teams.

Job DescriptionWhat you’ll do (Job Responsibilities)

Support discovery and research efforts to uncover user needs, pain points, and opportunity areas within complex systemsAssist in designing and iterating on wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows for enterprise software productsLeverage AI-assisted design tools (e.g., generative AI, research synthesis tools, design copilots) to accelerate concept generation and iterationConduct user research sessions and synthesize findings into actionable insights and visualizationsCollaborate with Product Management and Engineering to translate user needs into clear design deliverablesPresent design concepts and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in UX Design, Human Centered Design & Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related fieldFoundational knowledge of UX design principles, user research methods, and interaction design patternsProficiency in design tools such as Figma, including prototyping and component-based designMust be available to work full-time during the internship period

Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral servicesGE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans.
