Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a Surface Mount Assembly Technician to join our team that runs SMT equipment that produce a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s).

Primary Responsiblities

Working knowledge of SMT machines such as: Stencil Printer, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray and hand solderingUnderstanding of different electronics packages such as 0402, 0603, BGA’s and how they are processed on a SMT lineExperience working under a microscopeHand soldering SMT and Through-hole partsWorks to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on the work output.Works independently under limited supervisionWork in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and productions teamsBasic Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and less than 1 year of experience.Ability to read drawings and follow work instructionsAbility to stand for up to 8 hours daily.Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret ClearanceMust be a resident of the Northern Alabama area or willing to relocate to the area.Pre ferred Qualifications

 Surface Mount Technology experience or related electronics assembly experienceKnowledge of SMT processes used to build Printed Circuit Board AssembliesCurrent or prior certification in IPC-A-610.Current or prior certification in J-STD-001.Experience on SMT equipment and hand solderingIf you’re looking for comfort, keep scrolling. Pay Range:Pay Range $35,100.00 - $63,450.00
