Associate Design Release Engineer, LV
What You'll Do
- Supplier Technical Support: Assist senior engineers as a technical contact for low-voltage (LV) component and wire harness suppliers. Support evaluation of component specifications, learn supplier capabilities, and help ensure adherence to automotive quality standards.
- Design & Packaging Assistance: Assist in developing and reviewing 2D wiring diagrams, schematics, and 3D harness routing. Learn and apply best practices for grounding, shielding, strain relief, and thermal exposure when integrating LV components into the vehicle architecture.
- Engineering Release & Documentation: Support the lifecycle management of electrical parts. Draft, track, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) under mentorship, helping maintain the electrical Bill of Materials (BOM) in our PLM system.
- Project Execution & Support: Help track component lead times and delivery schedules to support prototype builds and testing. Flag potential schedule risks to senior team members to ensure build milestones are met.
- Cross-Functional Learning & Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional design reviews with Vehicle Integration, Firmware/Software, and Manufacturing teams. Work closely under senior mentorship to gain hands-on expertise in automotive electrical architecture and systems integration.
- Travel: Up to 20% travel within the US and Canada.
