Job Description Summary

Job DescriptionCNC Programming Engineer

Why This Role MattersPrecision starts before the first cut. As a CNC Programming Engineer, you’ll write the programs that turn designs into reality on the shop floor — translating specifications into efficient, accurate machine instructions that keep production moving and quality high. If you want to shape how parts get made from the programming side, not just run the machine, this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do- Write, test, and optimize CNC programs using Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software to support new and existing production processes.

  • Validate program accuracy against design specifications before and during shop floor implementation.

  • Define and refine production processes, tooling, and equipment setup in partnership with manufacturing teams.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve CNC programming issues to minimize downtime and keep output on schedule.

  • Support New Product Introduction by developing programming solutions for first-run parts.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to apply mechanical engineering judgment when production issues call for it.

  • Participate in monthly Lean Kaizen events, contributing programming-focused improvements to the Lean Roadmap.

You’re a strong fit if you have hands-on CNC programming experience and want to grow that expertise into a role with more ownership over process design and quality outcomes.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a high school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or operations experience

  • Minimum of 3 year of hands-on CNC programming experience (writing and editing CNC programs)

  • Working knowledge of Numerical Control (NC) Programming/CAM software.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles.

  • Basic project management skills, including the ability to document, plan, and execute programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve shop floor problems independently.
