Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off - 2nd Shift

Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in attention to detail, and wants to build a career in aerospace manufacturing company. The quality of the finished surface begins with preparation, and every stage, from sanding, filling all imperfection and preparing through final coat. You will be working with antenna products made from various material (fiberglass, aluminum, metal) using handheld sanding equipment No experience? No problem. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.

Essential Functions:

Mask using proper protective tape to mask and unmask per work instruction.Sand using proper equipment (Da or dotco sanding equipment) and appropriate sandpaper grit according surface preparationFill, mix and apply various sealants and adhesives and ensure integrity per work instruction (process standards)Observe industry best practices for FOD, 5S, and material handling controls.Ensure that you are following all safety requirements/PPEPromote and facilitate lean manufacturing principles within an environment of continuous improvement.Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation. Takes measures to ensure item is properly coated and meets surface protection requirementsRead and understand detailed blueprints and operation sheetsExceptional organizational skills & ability to manage multiple projects and assignmentsWillingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production environmentAbility to work overtime as neededWork independently as well as part of a team.Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. 

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience. 

Preferred Additional Skills:

Strong communication skillsBasic computer navigation skillsAutobody repair experience 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York (Greater NYC. area) is $18.99 MIN - $35.34 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
