Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking embedded software engineers in Palm Bay or Malabar, FL to work on a dynamic team to extend and enhance existing software components to deliver comprehensive test solutions covering all depot and manufacturing needs for F35.

Candidate will work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system.

Essential Functions:

Requirements, systems architecture, software architecture, and designC/C++ Software Development using existing toolsTesting tools may include test frameworks in PythonUse of Code Coverage ToolsDevelopment will support L3Harris mission systems integration architectureConduct independent technical investigations of considerable complexity to improve system performance or solve difficult system requirements issuesCoordinate with other functional engineers to develop and test products; resolve compatibility and interface problems with other subsystemsInterface with other departments to participate in specification, design, code, and test reviewsFollow internal process to ensure proper conformance to established policies and proceduresProvide timely production support and problem resolutionQualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field) and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.Experience interacting with software development throughout the design cycle including major design reviews and architecture reviews.Experience with Hardware and Software integration and testDescopes and Test automation experience using Python or similar languages3+ years of embedded developmentExperience with APIs/BSPs/Drivers, OpenGL, health and statusProgramming for Linux & Real-time operating systems3+ years’ experience with C++ systems development with understanding of Software/Hardware co-design, distributed systems design, and software/computer architecture.3 + years’ experience with avionics lifecycle execution.Preferred Additional Skills:
