As a Cloud Engineering expert, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our cyber security customer. You will play a crucial role in securing our nation’s secured infrastructure by working closely with the customer to have a great impact on the mission.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The ideal Cloud Engineer candidate will have:

Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experienceExperience: 8+ years of Cloud Engineering experienceTechnical skills and abilities:Cloud PlatformsAWS Experience with services like EC2, EKS, S3, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.Azure experience with services like Azure VMs, Blob Storage, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Microsoft Entra, etc.Experience with commercial cloud AI services is a plus (SageMaker, Bedrock, Microsoft Foundry, etc.).Experience configuring cloud networking and security resources, such as AWS VPCs, Subnets, PrivateLink, or other commercial cloud equivalent.KubernetesExperience with Kubernetes (CKAD or CKA certification is a plus)Understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and ecosystem (e.g., Helm, kube-state metrics)Experience with Kubernetes deployment strategies (e.g., rolling updates, blue-green deployments)Programming SkillsProficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, and Type scriptExperience with scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or PerlContainerizationExperience with Docker, including creating Docker files, managing images, and orchestrating containersNetworking and SecurityUnderstanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)Experience with security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FIPS)Familiarity with security tools like AWS IAM, Microsoft Entra, or Kubernetes RBACCI/CD and AutomationExperience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCIFamiliarity with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation

The likely salary range for this position is $191,250 - $258,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
