Serve as the manufacturing subject matter expert (SME) during design reviews, providing Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) guidance and identifying technical and production risks early in the development cycle.
Own and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, assembly travelers, manufacturing routings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
Provide technical leadership during new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, low-rate initial production (LRIP), and transition to full-rate production.
Specify, design, or oversee tooling, fixtures, test equipment, and production aids required for UUV assembly, integration, and testing.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for manufacturing, assembly, or test-related issues, including coordination with design engineering and quality.
Support system-level integration, functional testing, environmental testing, and acceptance testing in accordance with defense and customer requirements.
Collaborate with supply chain and suppliers to evaluate manufacturability, production readiness, and quality of externally sourced components and assemblies.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable defense standards, contractual requirements, configuration management, and quality system controls.
Mentor junior manufacturing engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and best practices.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield, quality, reliability, cost, and schedule performance.
What we are looking for…

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in realted field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance #LI-MH1
Bonus points for…

Experience in high production environments.
Experience with UUVs, AUVs, ROVs, or other undersea, marine, or harsh-environment systems.
Familiarity with pressure housings, sealing methods, underwater connectors, corrosion-resistant materials, and subsea-rated components.
Experience supporting defense programs, including prototype development, LRIP, and sustainment.
Knowledge of environmental, vibration, shock, and functional testing of mission-critical systems.
