Employer description

Job Description SummaryGE Vernova brings the energy of change to the world. The Gas Power fleet runs on the trust that our analytics are right.

The Analytics Foundry Leader scales a factory of insights that powers the Heavy-Duty Services Engineering organization and shifts the balance from responsive to proactive customer support. This leader runs a high-performing organization of specialized data scientists, machine learning engineers, and digital architects who turn massive, complex global fleet datasets into high-fidelity predictive analytics.

What impact you’ll make:

You will own the data intelligence engine for the Gas Power fleet — from prototype to production at scale. You will standardize how advanced AI/ML models are developed, validated, and deployed, enabling the Fleet Operational Intelligence organization to deliver proactive reliability globally. You will deliver Fleet Analytics that support new product introductions (NPIs) and root cause analyses (RCAs), and you will translate raw engineering data into commercial value — reduced unplanned downtime and higher service value for customers. Success demands deep technical expertise, a relentless focus on quality and value, and the ability to build and retain world-class data talent

Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesDirect a team of 20+ data scientists and engineers across the full lifecycle of digital products — prototype to production at scale.Partner with Applied Reliability and Product Service Engineering to define the “what,” and with M&D Insights Central to define the “how.”Define the technical roadmap — AI/ML capabilities, data pipelines, and diagnostics — unified under the Reliability → Analytics → Diagnostics → Closure operating model.Govern model quality, health, and efficacy — minimizing false positives and raising signal-to-noise so teams trust analytics as a primary engineering input.Build, mentor, and retain a world-class team, cultivating technical rigor, curiosity, and rapid experimentation at high quality.Consolidate and modernize diagnostic tooling, eliminating tool sprawl while meeting cybersecurity, data integrity, and engineering standards.Translate technical output into business intelligence that reduces unplanned downtime and raises service value for customers.Champion Lean across the digital workflow, reducing cycle time from model development through deployment.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field from an accredited university.Minimum 10 years of progressive technical leadership across multiple engineering or technology disciplines.Minimum 5 years leading high-performing, multi-disciplinary technical teams, including leaders of other people.Demonstrated track record of taking AI/ML models from R&D/prototype environments to enterprise-scale deployment within a complex industrial or services environment.
Desired CharacteristicsAdvanced degree (MS/PhD) in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, AI/ML, or Operations Research.Experience leading large multi-disciplinary technical organizations of 20+ professionals.Deep expertise in industrial IoT, predictive maintenance, or power generation services.Applies a product mindset to analytics — understanding that models are products that must serve a user and deliver a business outcome.Translates abstract technical challenges into clear strategic priorities for non-technical leadership.Influences cross-functional peers in Engineering and Services to adopt new digital workflows.Practices Lean, applying rigorous process discipline to creative and technical work.Leads with a servant mindset — removes blockers for a specialized team while keeping alignment to the broader business vision.Makes data-driven decisions and acts decisively despite ambiguity.Brings a One Team mentality — leads horizontally, breaks down silos, and keeps the customer outcome at the center of every decision.
